formnext 2025

At formnext, from November 18 through 21, 2025, more than 800 exhibitors and 30,000 visitors gathered in Frankfurt (Germany), transforming the city into the capital of additive manufacturing. The event focused on the rapidly growing industrial use of AM, covering the entire process chain: in addition to additive production systems, visitors founnd materials, automation solutions, software for design, planning, and production, as well as post-processing and quality control technologies.

“rapid.tech 3D” took place at Messe Erfurt from May 13 to 15, 2025 and was dedicated to the latest developments in additive manufacturing. In over 20 specialist forums and numerous keynotes, experts from MTU Aero Engines, BWT Alpine Formula One, Roland Berger and Turkish Aerospace presented innovative applications and technologies for aviation, the automotive industry, the defense sector and automated AM factories. The Additive Manufacturing competence field was represented as an exhibitor and showcased practical solutions and the latest developments. A highlight was the parallel event “Quantum Photonics” on May 13 and 14, 2025, which offered researchers and developers from the fields of computing, communication and sensor technology a platform. rapid.tech 3D also offered Technical Deep Dives, Expert Tables and the AM Science Poster Slam for intensive exchange and networking.

The Fraunhofer Direct Digital Manufacturing Conference DDMC 2025 took place from February 10 to 12, 2025, in Berlin and highlighted the latest developments in industrial 3D printing. The event offered a platform for experts, scientists, and industry partners to exchange ideas, with 20 sessions and 60 presentations showcasing current research findings and industrial applications, focusing on material and process developments as well as the integration of AI. Six prominent keynote speakers shared their perspectives on the future of additive manufacturing. A highlight of the conference was the evening event, held in a historic Berlin train station waiting hall. The best contributions were awarded with prizes for Best Paper, Best Poster, and Best Presentation.
